DORCHESTER GUN SHOP, LLC, was started by a husband-and-wife team that felt Grand Blanc was in need of a gun shop, which they hope will become an important asset in our community. Nicknamed Dustin, Hooplin, Snoopy, among other names, he went into the ARMY shortly after graduating high school. His MOS was 15Y which is an Aircraft Weapons/Avionics Systems Repairer, working on the Apache (AH-64), Blackhawk (UH-60), and Cobra (AH-1) helicopters. Stationed at Ft. Dix and Ft. Eustis/Langley, he committed 8 years of active and reserve duty to our country. He eventually became involved in the Financial Industry and continues to work in this arena today. She, nicknamed CAB and Cabbie, works in the Automotive Industry and has a strong background in Administration, Customer Service, Sales Support, as well as supporting top level Upper Management and/or CEO's.

Together, the DGS TEAM places an emphasis on providing top notch Customer Service and treating Customers the way that they would like to be treated. DGS believes that responsible citizens have the right to arm themselves and protect their family as authored by our forefathers in the Second Amendment of the Constitution. Our Constitution is under constant and unnecessary attack. Back in the old days, a simple handshake was a binding contract. Today, handshakes are legally challenged as is the constant attempt to amend and barrage the Constitution, which as written helps create stability in our country.

In early 2022, it was announced that a new gun store, the first ever, would be opening in Grand Blanc. Since that time, an overwhelming and positive response has been received from the community. It's understood that some are not happy and that sentiment is respected. Fortunately, no one will ever agree 100% of the time (it makes the world go 'round) on any one subject so in light of that, the regard to let others exercise their Constitutional right should be recognized as penned in the Constitution. Its amendments afford everyone in this country many benefits, such as protection of basic rights as well as civil rights. "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not and never be violated. We agree that you don’t need 30 rounds to kill a deer, but our forefathers didn’t ratify the Second Amendment because the deer were coming.
